June 2022

6/29/22

Good Wednesday morning,

It is good news for the valleys with the heat. Temps are dropping and will be cooling to the low to mid-80s for the weekend and into early next week.

Today will be the last hot day, with low 90s in Santa Ynez and upper 70s in Santa Barbara.

Thursday, we start the real cool down in the valleys with a high of 85. Coastal areas will begin to see more fog and highs in the low to mid-70s.

This will be the forecast through the weekend, with fog along the coast and low 70s. In the valleys low 80s.

At the start of next week, we will continue to see cooler weather as a late-season Pacific Northwest storm drops into their neck of the woods. Here just cooler with some fog

Looking at zoom earth the hurricane season is getting active with a few systems on the East Coast and one on the west.

The system in Mexico is just drifting west away from the coastal land.

Enjoy the cooler weather, we love fog on roofs 😁👍

Good Wednesday morning,

This morning there is some subtropical moisture being pulled up thanks to low pressure spinning just south of point conception.

This has created some rain this morning in LA area and the chance for some rain will continue to move north.

Just to the south there is a 40% chance of rain, but here we will see a 20%.

As the heating of the day continues, we will see if the air becomes more unstable.

If areas see rain, it is not a lot. .01 to .25 of an inch, Not much.

The subtropical weather is more August like not June. The rain chances more East tonight.

Thursday, We get back into typical June like weather, with morning fog along the coast and sun in the afternoons.

This weekend expects more of the same, with fog along the coast in the mornings then sun and warming into the upper 70s to low 80s.

The valleys will be 10 degrees warmer with upper 80s to low 90s. just typical early summer weather.

Good Thursday morning,

Wow, Thursday came fast this week!!

I love this time of year with all the daylight. It is starting around 5 am now.

19 days till summer solstice and best of all we will have our fun parade back in Santa Barbara. I always love watching this parade.

Starting today the weather will be more June like with a troft approaching and bringing high clouds this afternoon.

This will cool the coast 3 to 5 degrees with a high of 72 in SB.

In the valleys still, one more day of above-normal temps with highs in the mid-80s.

Friday fog for all, some west-facing beaches will likely see no sunshine.

Valleys are also cool with some morning fog and a high of 76.

Saturday will pretty much be a repeat of Friday. Cooler and fog.

Sunday, we break out of the cool foggy pattern with more sun and warmer temps through Wednesday of next week.

Beyond that confidence is murky but some cooling is likely.

If you missed the cool silver moon Wednesday night Adam has us covered. Really fantastic photo!

Enjoy all the daylight and get outside to enjoy it!
