6/30/16 Weekend Weather
Good Thursday morning,
We are saying goodbye to June and welcoming July.
With that we will bring back more marine layer. We have a weak system that will affect us over the weekend. This will only bring more marine layer to us. You will notice a little dampness each morning, with fog clearing in the afternoons. We however love the fog. Where we sit in the 70s, the valleys are over 100 degrees.
Next week we should have more of the same. Of course Monday and the 4th of July

We will hope the marine layer stays out until after the show.
6/23/16 Cooler Weather
Yes, the cooler weather is always welcome, but sadly it will not hang around for long. A matter of fact today will be the last cooler day.
High pressure and a Santa Anna wind event will start in on Friday. This will be winds from the north east, affecting the Montecito hills and southern areas.
This will just warm us up along with the rest of Southern California. Temps will climb back into the 80s Friday and 90 for the weekend.
Valleys will be even hotter.
Enjoy the last few days of fog
6/22/16 Cooler Temps
How sweet it is to live in Santa Barbara. Who needs A/C when we have what god gave us, “The 61 degree pacific ocean.”
Yes, as all the inland areas baked last night, we in Santa Barbara saw the fog roll in at 5 PM. By 5:30 it was 72 degrees, while the valleys were still in the 90s. Our natural air conditioner kicked into high gear.
The good news is we will have cooling along the coast for the rest of the week. It will still be hot inland, but they will see a little relief.
Enjoy the cooler weather
6/20/16 Hot Hot HOT
Good Monday morning,
Yes, the heat is on for all inland areas. Expect everyone to see 90’s and 100’s today. The only area that will remain cool is right along the beach, because of on shore flow. I really do mean right at the beach, one mile inland it will be hot.
Today will be the hottest day of the week. Tuesday will be hot again and then Wednesday bringing some relief. Sundowner winds will continue each night, which will keep it warm overnight.
Welcome to summer. Today is the longest day of the year….
Happy Solstice!
6/13/20 This Week’s Weather
Good Monday morning,
What an exciting weekend it was. We got 4/100 of an inch of rain Saturday

Lots of graduations and traffic this weekend.
How about the Gaucho’s baseball team. They made local history with a grand slam walk off home run Sunday to advance the college baseball World Series for the first time ever….. How sweet it is!
Watch the umpire get dog piled
Now for the weather. June gloom continues through mid week…We will be seeing the normal night and morning low clouds, fog and dampness.
However, do not get to use to it. It is looking like a heat wave this coming Father’s day weekend. SB will be a great place to be, because valleys and deserts will get to triple digits. We should be in the mid-80s
Enjoy the weekend, and go Gaucho’s Saturday …..
6/2/16 Heating Up
Good Thursday morning,
Fog along the coast, but we will see earlier clearing today. Inland it is just getting warmer.
Looks like Friday and Saturday will be downright hot inland, with temps in the 90s and some 100s.
For us at the coast, we will see a lot more sun and warmer temps.
Sunday we go back to night and morning low clouds and fog.
This will persist through mid-week.
Enjoy the warmer weekend…
6/1/16 June Gloom Along The Coast
Good June the 1st,
Where May gray bring fog and cooler temps to all, June gloom brings the fog to the coastal areas and heat to the deserts and valleys.
There is quite a swing with temps from just SB to SY. Expect a 25 degree temp difference.
High pressure is continuing to build in. This will only heat up the valleys through Saturday. It should also start to lighten the marine layer along the coast to at least have clearing in the afternoons.
Today we will be seeing fog, dampness and drizzle.
It will be warm everywhere 30 miles from the beaches, with highs in the 80s and 90s. For us in Santa Barbara temps will be in the 60s.
Welcome to June,
Enjoy the fog it will get hotter as the summer goes on.
