8/27/15 Weekend Weather
Good Thursday morning,
Can you say HOT…. It is going to be just that for the next 3 days.
Today will be the hottest day of the week. 94 in coastal Santa Barbara…
Even hotter inland. All areas in the valleys should get into the triple digits.

The hot weather will be with us through the weekend.
There is good news however. Looks like Monday temps will drop back to normal
Tuesday and Wednesday we will have a deep marine layer. Cooling, clouds …that should make everyone happy.
Especially those without A/C or a pool…..
Have a nice hot weekend! Beach and ocean weather is the place to be.
Get there early, parking will be limited.
8/20/15 Thursday Update
Good morning,
Where have those weeks gone? Good news is we are close to another weekend.
Weather, well not very exciting out there. Calm weather with no real excitement for our neck of the woods.
As you can see on the satellite picture, everything is calm around here http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/lox/scripts/animate.php?root=sat_16km&list=IR16.GIF.3.jpg,IR16.GIF.4.jpg,IR16.GIF.5.jpg,IR16.GIF.6.jpg,IR16.GIF.7.jpg,IR16.GIF.8.jpg
Monsoonal moisture is staying to the south and hammering inland areas of Mexico.
For us, the sundowner winds last night will keep us clear this morning. Everywhere else you are waking to around 1500 feet of fog.
All fog will melt by noon today. This will help bring us a cooler day with temps slightly below normal.
Friday and the weekend a weak ridge builds in. Friday we all should see some fog with the marine layer getting smaller Saturday.
All in all just a nice forecast ahead, with no real excitement. You will need to go somewhere else for excitement…
Have a great day!

8/19/15 Wednesday Weather
Today we start with fog and cooler start for the day. Fog is around 1500 feet, clearing should occur late this morning.
Highs for the day will be in the upper 70’s, just perfect temps.
Tonight we will get sundowners winds. They will blow 15 to 25 miles an hour, right around sunset time.
These winds are typical and will blow down off the mountains.
This should push the marine layer off shore and we will wake to clear skies Thursday morning.
The rest of the week and weekend should be seasonable nice. Some fog pockets, but nothing too exciting.
Enjoy your day, and remember the sundowner winds tonight and put down your patio umbrellas.
8/11/15 Heat Wave Approaching
Heat wave is on. Yes, as soon as Wednesday joins us. You will feel the heat.
How hot will it get?
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-119.70396&lat=34.43758#.Vcnr2cvH9-Y
Well much hotter than anyone really wants. Looking like 90’s along the coast and 100’s inland.
The heat will hang around all the way through the weekend.
Today will be the last day of normal temps.
Enjoy what we have today……..
Starting Wednesday through the weekend…. One word HOT!!!!
Oh, have I mentioned I started an A/C company this year, called Beyond Heating & Air.. 966-4321. Yes, this is for real. Give us a call, Stuart and Tony will help you out.
Stay cool !!!! I have A/C.
Have a great day!
8/6/15 Fiesta Thursday
Good morning,
Great sunrise out there. Take a peak up to the east. These clouds continue to stream from Hawaii and the dying tropical storm.
Theres also is a weak low passing north of us today, that may spark some thunder showers in SLO county.
For us , rain is not likely. Just the clouds for another day or so.
Friday, however should break the heat some. We should have a cooler few days.
After that, not a lot of excitement through mid week.
Just in time to enjoy the fiesta celebrations.
Tonight is the fiesta at the Zoo , that is always fun with dancing under the stars.
There will be one more nice sunset for all.
Here is mine from last night.
8/5/15 Viva La Fiesta
Yes , it is fiesta time. It all starts at the mission tonight.
Looks like our weather has become a little more interesting this week.
The clouds streaming over us are from tropical storm Guillermo. This storm is west of Hawaii and not doing anything other than give us pretty sunsets.
Also those sundowner winds. It was still 80 degrees last night until 9 PM at my house.
Tonight will give use one more round of warm sundowner winds.
Thursday gets interesting, because a low over Monterey right now moves through the area. This could give us a 20% chance of rain.
Regardless there are more clouds in the forecast.
The weekend weather should give us some marine layer along the coastal areas.
There is even a chance of drizzle in areas on Friday.
Ok that’s it for now.
Viva La fiesta
8/3/15 Monday Morning Weather
Yes, here we go again…
However it is fiesta week….. for some, the week will be shorter….NOT for me.
Weather is looking perfect for the week. Highs in the mid 70’s and lows in the 60’s.
It Does not get much better than this. Warm nights with days not too hot. The sundowner winds at night will keep us warmer in SB.
Now if you take a look at the satellite picture, you can see action to the south in Mexico . This is near cabo where the monsoonal moisture is back in play.
Not a hurricane , but it will be wet in the Baja.
Then there is Hawaii where there is Guillermo lurking closer to the islands.
This is a category 1 and will weaken to a tropical storm as it gets near Hawaii.
They should feel their effects of this starting Wednesday and Thursday .

We will watch how this moves over the next few days.
Ok that’s it for now,
Have a great week!
