7/30/15 Good Thursday Morning
Good Thursday morning,
Or is it ???? Looking like we are going to have a hot muggy day….
The monsoonal flow is here. No rain along the coast, but it is off into the desert areas .
Looks like the best shot of rain for will be this afternoon, as the day heats and the puffy clouds will form over the mountains.
It will look pretty for sure…. Rain, well there is only a 20% chance.
We will still need to keep an eye on it, because where it does rain it should come down pretty hard.
As far as the heat goes . Muggy and warm. 80s and 90s today
Hot weather will be with us the rest of the week, with some cooling Sunday. Our best chances for rain will be late this afternoon.
On a side note….
I took Pearl to the beach last night and did not know there was tar in the water until we got home. She was covered and not a happy camper.
I had to take vegetable oil to her fur for a few hours to clean her up. Now I know how the birds feel…
FYI it was natural seepage not a spill….
So If you take your dog to the beach, check the water first… Poor pear was a mess.

7/29/15 Happy Hump Day
Good hump day,
Midweek and weather is changing for the rest of the week. Take a look at the satellite picture below. You will see the subtropical moisture drawing into the southwestern states.
High pressure over New Mexico is drawing up all the monsoonal moisture from Mexico. This is going to start effecting us later this afternoon.
The effect will begin with warmer temps and humidity .
As far a rain goes, it might get into the Southern California areas today, but not likely to get this far north .
The best shot for us is Thursday afternoon and Friday .
These are going to be in the form of thunderstorms that would pop up over the mountains.
Anyway you look at it the chances are still only 20% or less.
100% it will be hot and muggy.
So stay cool and hydrated.
